If our ongoing findings are correct, the Ohm Power Europe Ltd PYROHM appliance could be considered as a combined Solid Biomass Fuel based Combined Heat and SYNGAS Power Plant appliance solution for use on large domestic and small scale commercial and industrial applications in remote, rural and countryside areas
During 2011 as part of our ongoing development and improvement procedures we have been conducting PYROHM evaluation and feasibility trials which could potentially result in us also being able to offer the extra duel facility of drawing off supplies of Bio Wood SYNGAS (synthetic or synthesis gas) from the PYROHM Gasification Furnace Chamber of this heavily constructed and high solid wood fuel capacity appliance as well as the existing integral Central Heating Water Jacket Tank
Syngas comprises volatile hydrocarbons such as Hydrogen, Methane, Nitrogen and Carbon Monoxide. The resulting gas mixture can be cooled in a condensate coil, dried of moisture and filtered of impurities such as ash, tar and sulphur. It can yield as much as 50% of the calorific thermal value of natural gas and can be used for the production of electricity in modified stationary internal combustion based petrol and gas genset engines. Also as a replacement for conventional piped town gas or LPG for separate space or water heating units and even cooking via suitable appliances

This only shows a single stage price increase below however, 2 - 3 have taken affect this year alone in real terms in the spring, summer and now in the autumn

Heating Oil and LPG are very likely to rise by at least a similar amount this year alone
Even Wood Fuel Pellets are increasing and these can now cost about 25 pence per kg or about 2 litres in volume pellet capacity
Two years ago these only cost about 15 pence per kg as an indication of growth
So at this 25 pence price rate, a 1 metric tonne, ( 1,000kg ) load of wood pellets can cost as much as £250. Which as an example on a high constant 24 hours per day peak heat demand 50kWh system might only last about 1 week and cost about £35 per day. On this basis the following wood pellet pro-rata costs stand:
25kWh 24 hour load costs about £17
100kWh 24 hour load costs about £70
With Wood Pellet Cat Litter and Pet Bedding costing as much as +120% more at about 56 pence per kg in supermarkets and pet shops it will probably only be a matter of time before pellet fuel price levels grow significantly as producers make a higher profit selling it as litter and bedding material
Whereas, " Free Home Grown Wood Supplies " whether in the form of un-processed logs or waste production wood, demolition or scrap timber which is free today will hopefully be free in the future

The Ofgem E-Serve Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) accreditation enquiries line is now open, as of 14 July 2011. The team can be contacted on 0845 200 2122. Their helpline opening hours are 8:30am until 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30am until 4:30pm on Fridays
Ofgem E-Serve RHI are responsible for implementing and administering the RHI on behalf of the UK Government. Their functions include accrediting eligible installations, making payments to participants, monitoring compliance and undertaking inspections to ensure the scheme conditions are being adhered to. They are also responsible for providing guidance to participants and prospective participants to assist them in understanding how to apply for the scheme and how to demonstrate compliance with both the RHI eligibility criteria and participants’ ongoing obligations.
